Identification
Please bring your Haverford Student ID or another form of ID with you to complete sign in procedures.
Cameras and Photocopies
Personal digital cameras and scanners are not allowed.
Staff will determine if other materials are in a condition that allows them to be photocopied. Copying ends at 4:00 each day.
General Procedure
- Researchers must sign in at the receptionist's desk each day.
- All bags must be left in lockers outside the reading room.
- Food and drink are not allowed in the building.
- All requests for material must be submitted by 4:00 pm.
Appointments
An appointment isn't necessary, but it would really be beneficial, and the staff is more than happy to sit down one-on-one with you to locate useful materials. The person with the most knowledge of the records is the executive director, available at this email address: msly@history.pcusa.org. It would be worth making an appointment with her to meet and talk about your research.
More generally, they would like to know when to expect a spike in activity if many people will be visiting in a short time span. So even if you're not planning on making an appointment, a quick note to say you plan on stopping by would be greatly appreciated.
